Huntsman Quotes in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937)
Huntsman Quotes:
-
Queen: Take her far into the forest. Find some secluded glade where she can pick wildflowers.
Huntsman: Yes, Your Majesty.
Queen: And there, my faithful huntsman, you will kill her!
Huntsman: [protesting] But Your Majesty! The little princess!
Queen: [rising] Silence! You know the penalty if you fail.
Huntsman: [solemnly] Yes, Your Majesty.
Queen: But to make doubly sure you do not fail, bring back her heart in this.
-- Huntsman -
Huntsman: [dropping the knife] I can't. I can't do it! Forgive me. I beg of Your Highness, forgive me.
Snow White: Why, I don't understand.
Huntsman: She's mad! Jealous of you! She'll stop at nothing!
Snow White: But, but who?
Huntsman: The Queen!
Snow White: The Queen?
Huntsman: Now, quick, child, run! Run away, hide! In the woods, anywhere! Never come back! Now go! Go! Run! Run! Hide!
-- Huntsman -
Rosaleen: [pushes him away as they near a kiss] Jesus, what big teeth you have!
Huntsman: [smiles deviously] All the better to eat you with.
[Rosaleen shoots his arm with a rifle making him scream and writhe in pain turning into a wolf]
-- Huntsman -
Rosaleen: [hears wolves howl] Who's come to sing us carols, then?
Huntsman: Only my companions, darling. I love the company of wolves. Look out of the window and you'll see them.
Rosaleen: [does so] Poor creatures. It's freezing cold out there. No wonder they howl so.
-- Huntsman -
Granny: Get ye back to Hell from whence ye came!
Huntsman: I don't come from Hell, I come from the forest.
Granny: What have you done with my Granddaughter?
Huntsman: [with annoyance in his voice] Nothing she didn't want!
-- Huntsman -
Rosaleen: [a lock of Granny's hair singes in the fireplace] Is that all you left of her? Your kind can't stomach hair, can you? Even if the worst wolves are hairy on the inside.
Huntsman: What do you know about my kind?
Rosaleen: [takes out a knife] My Granny told me plenty!
[the huntsman restrains her]
Huntsman: Are you very much afraid?
Rosaleen: It wouldn't do me much good to be afraid, would it? My, what big eyes you have.
Huntsman: All the better to see you with.
Huntsman: They say seeing is believing, but I'd never swear to it.
