1. A system of food preparation, used in hospitals, in which trays move along an assembly line.

     The trays for the test unit at first were assembled on a separate 'trayline within the main kitchen; however, this process consumed excessive space and time, so the operation was transferred to the regular trayline.

2. (tennis, Britain) Either of the two pairs of sidelines marked on a tennis court which mark the outside of the singles and doubles playing areas.
3. (film) A scratch on a film, usually vertical, that extends through multiple frames.
