William Stryker: I tried to warn you.

Logan: Why didn't you tell me it was Victor?

William Stryker: I didn't know!

Logan: [slams him against the wall] Bullshit! Why?

William Stryker: I swear on my son's life, I didn't!

[Logan releases his grip on him]

William Stryker: Victor's appetite was becoming too public. I had to lock him up. He felt I betrayed him. He went AWOL. He said he was coming for all of us.

Logan: You didn't come to warn me, you came to save your own ass.

[walks off]

William Stryker: So what's your plan, Captain? You can't beat him, Logan, you know you can't!

Logan: I'm gonna go find him and kill him.

William Stryker: I can give you the tools to defeat him.

[Logan stops and turns to look at Stryker]

William Stryker: And we can still save the others.

Logan: You mean save yourself, right?

William Stryker: I promise you two things: You will suffer more pain than any other man can endure. But you will have your revenge.

Logan: I come with you, I'm coming for blood. No law, no code of conduct. You point me in the right direction, you get the hell out of my way.

William Stryker: I have a job for you.

Logan: I already have a job.

David North: Lumberjack? Eighteen grand a year?

Logan: Eighteen five. Plus I haven't had to kill anybody.

David North: Miss it?

Logan: Right about now I am.

David North: Yeah?

William Stryker: Zero, back to the car.

Logan: [nods to the car as Zero keeps looking at him] Atta boy.

[clicks tongue. Zero goes to the car]

William Stryker: [over the radio] Zero!

David North: I'm down...

William Stryker: Zero, is he dead? Is Logan dead? Come in!

Logan: [speaking into the headphones] You tried to kill me.

William Stryker: Logan?

Logan: Where's Victor?

William Stryker: Come back to base, I'll explain everything. We'll take down Victor together...

Logan: Wrong answer. After I kill Victor, I'm coming for you.

William Stryker: Logan, if you go down this path, you're not gonna like what you find.

Logan: You wanted the animal, Colonel. You got it.

William Stryker: We're going to make you indestructible - but first, we're gonna have to destroy you. You remember what we were looking for in Africa?

Logan: I remember.

William Stryker: Well, I found it. It helped us to create a metal compound so strong, that you'll be able to withstand virtually anything. It's called adamantium. I can't put Victor down myself, Logan. To kill him, you'll have to embrace the other side, become the animal.

William Stryker: Oh, I almost forgot...

[hold up Logan's dog tags]

Logan: I want new ones.

William Stryker: What do you want them to say?

Logan: Wolverine.

William Stryker: You were sentenced for decapitating a senior officer. The warden tells me that your sentence was carried out by a firing squad at 1000 hours. How'd that go?

Logan: It tickled.

William Stryker: My name is Major William Stryker. You boys tired of running? Tired of denying your true nature? Tired of wars?

Victor Creed: Why do you care?

William Stryker: Oh, I care. I care because I know how valuable you are. I'm putting together a special team, with special privileges. So tell me, after defending this country for 150 years and 4 wars, how would you like to really serve your country?

William Stryker: The tank.

William Stryker: You could never survive the adamantium bonding...

Victor Creed: Whatever you did to him, I can take it!

William Stryker: Activate the Deadpool!

William Stryker: The tricky thing about adamantium is, that if you ever manage to process its raw, liquid form, you got to keep it that way, keep it hot. Because once the metal cools, it's indestructible. But you already know that.

Wolverine: Who am I?

William Stryker: If you knew the kind of person you used to be, the work we did together... People don't change, Wolverine. You were an animal then and you're an animal now. I just gave you claws.

William Stryker: [to Logan] I didn't realize Xavier was taking in animals, even animals as unique as you.

William Stryker: Sergeant, kill everyone that approaches; even if it is me.

Professor X: William.

William Stryker: Please, Xavier, don't get up.

[electronic static]

William Stryker: I call it the neural inhibitor. It keeps you outta here.

Professor X: What have you done with Scott?

William Stryker: Don't worry. I'm just giving him a little reeducation. Of course, you know all about that, don't you?

Professor X: William, you wanted me to cure your son. But mutation is not a disease.

William Stryker: You're lying. You were more frightened of him than I was. You know, just one year after Jason returned from your school... my wife - you see he resented us. He blamed us for his condition. So he would toy with our minds... projecting visions and scenarios into our brains. Well, my wife, in the end... she took a power drill to her left temple in an attempt to bore the images out. My boy, the great illusionist.

[crackling]

Professor X: For someone who hates mutants... you certainly keep some strange company.

William Stryker: Oh, they serve their purpose... as long as they can be controlled.

Professor X: You arranged the attack on the president.

William Stryker: You didn't even have to read my mind. You know, I've been working with mutants as long as you have, Xavier... but the most frustrating thing I've learned is that nobody really knows how many even exist or how to find them - except you. Unfortunately this little potion won't work on you, will it? You're much too powerful for that. Instead we'll go right to the source. Allow me to introduce mutant 143. The fluid secreted by his brain acts as a mind-controlling agent.

[machinery hissing]

William Stryker: But that's only where it begins.

Professor X: Jason. Oh, my God, William. This is your son. What have you done to him?

William Stryker: No, Charles! My son is dead... just like the rest of you.

[hissing continues, Xavier gasps]

President McKenna: What is that?

William Stryker: A jet.

President McKenna: What kind of jet?

William Stryker: We don't know-but it comes out of the basketball court.

[Wolverine approaches Stryker, chained to the outside of the dam, while carrying Artie in his arms]

William Stryker: Who has the answers, Wolverine? Those people? That creature in your arms? Huh? Huh?

[Wolverine looks at Artie, then takes off his "Wolverine" dog tag and throws it at Stryker's feet]

Wolverine: I'll take my chances with him.

[he turns and walks away]

William Stryker: One day, someone will finish what I've started, Wolverine!

[Artie looks over Wolverine's shoulder at Stryker, and sticks out his lizard tongue at him]

William Stryker: [shouts] One day!

William Stryker: I have found evidence of a mutant training facility in upstate New York.

Senator Kelly: [Mystique in disguise] This facility is a school.

William Stryker: Sure it is.

President McKenna: What do you need, William?

William Stryker: Just your authorization for a special operation.

President McKenna: And somehow I thought you were here to talk about school reform.

William Stryker: Funny you should say that, Mr. President.

William Stryker: I used to think you were one of a kind, Wolverine. I was wrong.

[Deathstrike appears]

Wolverine: Who are you?

William Stryker: Don't you remember?

William Stryker: If there's one thing I know more than anyone else, it's my own work. Seal the room. Shoot it.

Senator Kelly: [Mystique in disguise] Mr. Stryker, do you really want to turn this into some kind of war?

William Stryker: I was pilotin' Black Ops missions in the jungles of North Vietnam while you were suckin' on your mama's tit at Woodstock, Kelly. Don't lecture me about war. This already is a war.

Sgt. Lyman: Sir, the Cerebro device has been completed according to your specifications.

William Stryker: Good.

[Lyman looks at the monitor showing the room where the mutant children are being held prisoner]

Sgt. Lyman: If I may ask, sir, why are we keeping the children?

William Stryker: I'm a scientist, Sgt. Lyman. When I build a machine, I want to make sure it's working.
