Kili Quotes in The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies (2014)
Kili Quotes:
-
Kili: I will not hide behind a wall of stone while others fight OUR BATTLES FOR US! It is not in my blood, Thorin.
Thorin Oakenshield: No, it is not. We are sons of Durin. And Durin's Folk do not flee from a fight.
[Thorin and Kili butt heads]
Thorin Oakenshield: [to the rest of his company] I have no right to ask this of any of you. Will you follow me, one last time?
-- Kili -
Kili: [as Tauriel is looking at the mass of Laketowners on the shores of the city, Kili approaches her] Tauriel...
Fili: [pushing a boat into the lake in order to reach Erebor] Kili, come on. We're leaving!
Tauriel: They are your people. You must go.
[She begins to walk away when Kili stops her]
Kili: Come with me. I know how I feel, I'm not afraid. You make me feel alive.
Tauriel: No, I can't.
Kili: [She again turns to leave, but Kili grabs her arm] Tauriel... amralimne.
['My love' in Khuzdul]
Tauriel: [Tauriel gives Kili a sharp look] I don't know what that means.
Kili: I think you do.
Tauriel: [Tauriel looks at him with curiosity in her eyes, but suddenly straightens up, sensing someone behind her. She begins speaking in Sindarin or Silvan Elvish] My Lord Legolas.
Legolas: [Also speaking in Elvish] Take your leave of the Dwarf. You are needed elsewhere.
Kili: [Kili and Tauriel turn away from each other, but both turn back as Kili takes her hand and gives her the rune stone his mother gave him. He closes his hands around hers and holds their hands between their hearts] Keep it... as a promise.
[He heads to the boat as Tauriel looks down at the stone, her eyes suddenly filling with tears as Kili, Fili, Bofur and Oin begin rowing towards Erebor]
-- Kili -
Kili: [Kili is gently flirting with an Elf maid when he catches Dwalin glaring at him] I can't say I fancy Elves myself, too thin. They're all high cheekbones and creamy skin. Not enough facial hair for me.
[He motions to an Elf walking behind him]
Kili: Although, that one there's not bad.
Dwalin: That's not an Elf maid.
[the Elf turns around, revealing that he is indeed a male]
Kili: [the Dwarves burst out laughing at Kili's mistake] That's funny.
-- Kili -
Kili: [the ground suddenly begins to split beneath them during the thunder battle, with each brother jumping to a different side of the crack as it widens] What's happening?
Fili: [Reaches desperately towards his brother] Kili, grab my hand! Ki...
Kili: [a look of terror cross his face as the cliff face his brother is on moves further away] Fili!
-- Kili -
Bilbo Baggins: [Bilbo interrupts as Tom the troll about to eat Bombur] Uh... no, no, not... not that one, he... he's infected!
William Troll: [taken aback] You what?
Bilbo Baggins: Yes, he's got worms in his... tubes.
Tom Troll: Ooh!
[Tom throws down Bombur in disgust]
Bilbo Baggins: In-in fact, they all have. They're infested with parasites, it's a terrible business, I wouldn't risk it, I really wouldn't.
Oin: Parasites? Did he say parasites?
Kili: Yeah, we don't have parasites!
[to Bilbo]
Kili: You have parasites!
[Thorin realizes that Bilbo is trying to buy them time and kicks Kili, and the dwarves realize what Bilbo is doing]
Oin: I've got parasites as big as my arm!
Kili: Mine are the biggest parasites, I've got huge parasites!
Nori: We're riddled!
Ori: Yes, I'm riddled!
Dori: Yes, we are, badly!
-- Kili -
Kili: Aren't you going to search me? I could have anything down my trousers.
Tauriel: Or nothing.
-- Kili -
Kili: Tauriel...
Tauriel: Lie still.
Kili: You cannot be her. She is far away. She... she is far, far away from me. She walks in starlight in another world. It was just a dream. Do you think she could have loved me?
-- Kili -
Kili: [Kili hears the elves having a feast up above them in the kingdom] Sounds like quite a party you're having up there
Tauriel: It is Mereth Nuin Giliath; The Feast of Starlight. All light is sacred to the Eldar, but the Wood Elves love best the light of the stars.
Kili: I always thought it is a cold light, remote and far away.
Tauriel: It is memory, precious and pure.
[they look at each other for a moment]
Tauriel: Like your promise.
[she holds his stone in her hand and he takes it back, she turns and looks up]
Tauriel: I have walked there sometimes, beyond the forest and up into the night. I have seen the world fall away and the white light forever fill the air.
Kili: I saw a fire moon once. It rose over the pass near Dunland. Huge! Red and gold it was, it filled the sky. We were an escort for some merchants from Ered Luin, they were trading in silverwork for furs. We took the Greenway south, keeping the mountain to our left, and then it appeared. This huge fire moon lighting our path. I wish I could show you...
[as Tauriel sits next to his cell to listen to his story we see Legolas standing above where the cells are located, not looking happy as he listens to them]
-- Kili
