Caz Dolowicz: [in the train office, Caz is watching the board, and after no movement, all of the sudden, there appears to be some. Briefly] He's stopped again! The crazy, dumb ass, son of a bitch stopped again!

Bud Carmody: He's half-way between stations! What the hell's going on down there?

Caz Dolowicz: Pure mental case! I'm gonna nail his pecker to the goddamn wall for this!

Bud Carmody: Hey, Caz, take it easy, will ya?

[There's a quick reaction shot of Mrs. Jenkins - the only woman in the room, who squints her eyes, and furrows her brow]

Caz Dolowicz: If I gotta watch my language just because they let a few broads in, I'm going to quit! How the hell can you run a goddamn railroad without swearing?

[Mrs. Jenkins looks exasperated, and even more annoyed]

Mr. Mattson: [a senior conductor's training the new conductor] Okay, kid, out loud now so's I can hear what you're sayin'.
